Great meeting you guys yesterday. Sorry I left rather than grabbing a drink or some grub but I had the worst headache ever. My wife and I got to dinner and I was miserable. Anyway, looking forward to the next one and hope to meet some new folks as well.

Hey, if you guys will make it out then we can compromise a little. With a bigger group we can do a few different things. We used to grab lunch after chit-chatting when I was in Boston and we even tried doing a kart meet. My favorite of all was grabbing lunch and then a few of us heading to a stripclub...now that was a good meat, I mean meet!

Now I need to find DarrinB so he can bring his M5 to the meets. I think another member has a CTS-V as well. I love all comers.

 

That sounds good. Maybe we can even get those NON traveling people from Chicago to come over and make it. I have been to 2 there, it's no big deal. Maybe a 2 day meet?

Off topic, Any of you 3g TL no switchable keys have switchable keys? if so, who cut them and program for you? I call Ann Arbor and Farmington hills.. they say is impossible which I think is bullcrap!

 

Check the Group Buy section of the Black Market. I believe Mr Heeltoe is having a sale on them. They are not cheap. You have to have a special machine to cut the keys.

 

Dragonlord, I do understand that I can get the keys cut from Heeltoe, but dealership in the area will program it since they all say it will not work.

Anyways, just wanted to see if any of you guys actually done it.

 

hey guys, I cant believe I missed this thread! I could have been to the 12 oaks meet for sure...I live in canton which is like 20 mins away from there. I just decided to check this section today because there was a black TL looking and smiling at me a couple days ago lol so I was curious if he was here. anyway we should set up another meet sometime!

I was over at Street Legal Customs in Royal Oak. Ben said he would be happy to host our next meet. He'll grill up some grub and let us park in his lots on Woodward. What do y'all think? Maybe a Saturday, then stick around and watch the cruising at night? Ben always has some outrageous whips sitting around. They are getting ready to work on a new Charger (putting in a stroked 6.1 to 440). He said should dyno at 600 HP. We just have to let him know when.

I live in Ann Arbor now but my family lives in canton-plymouth area so im there all the time. I cant believe I missed out on the 12 oaks get together I would have been there in a flash. I pretty much didnt think there were any of us out here in michigan but we should def. all meet up and get to know eachother. And i need to put in a resonator since I have installed my cat-deletes and i need an installer. Any one recommend a shop in SE detroit?

 

Are you looking for a good exhaust shop? If so-Greg at Great Lakes Custom in Mt. Clemens is the best. Can you make it to track day on September 25th at Waterford Hills?

 

I can request it off work. So what is going on? We get to run our cars on the track? If so thats sounds like a blast.

Nice to see that human beings actually own TL's outside of New Jersey, Florida, and southern California. I just picked my 04 TL 2 weeks ago and its a HUGE step up from my last car (02 taurus). I already have a laundry list of mods I want to do, but picked the wrong time to get a new car (michigan winters officially suck). I live in Dearborn, and would be interested in a future meet. Looking over the thread, their seems to be a lot of people in the area but few agree to meet up. We need to step up our game!!!!!

Also, has anyone in the area installed accord fogs or type-s tail lights to their TL? Was hoping to get some help on these 2 mods.. Thanks

 

We always get a LOT of people that say they will show up, but it's usually only 4 or 5 that do. I have just been going to the Chicago meets, they can get quite a few people to show, plus it's a nice drive. I have talked to the owner of Streel Legal Customs in Royal Oak, and he will host a meet, we just need to get some people there. He said he would provide food. And he has some wicked cars.

Anyway-welcome to the family.
