Second Annual Southeastern Ohio Performance Run

For the few without facebook:
Alright, so a couple years ago, I ran a late fall drive in the hills of Southeastern Ohio. We had over 15 cars come out for an amazing day of driving. Well, turns out people had more fun than I expected, so I'm putting it together again after a crappy weathered fall 2010.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29th, 2011. I will be hosting the second official SEO Driving Run. This will be a full day of driving some of the most gorgeous (fall will be in full bloom), technical, and (best of all) FUN roads in the Ohio area. As most of these roads will be 45mph/55mph zones, with little to no 5-0 presence, we will be able to push our cars to their limits and really see what you are capable of.

**THIS WILL BE A PERFORMANCE DRIVING RUN, HOWEVER, NO SHOWING OFF, NO RECKLESS DRIVING, AND ABSOLUTELY NO HORSESHIT OR YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. ZERO TOLERANCE WILL BE ENFORCED. THE IDEA IS TO ENJOY THESE ROADS WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THE LAW**

**AS ALWAYS, THIS EVENT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE LEADER(S) WILL BE TRAVELING WITHIN THE LEGAL SPEED LIMITS AND OBEYING ALL OHIO TRAFFIC LAWS. YOU DRIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK ON THIS CRUISE**

The Plan (Times are all estimated):
8:00-8:30am: Meet at Salt Fork State Park Lodge parking lot (Interstate 77 - Exit 47, head east 5 miles on 22 and enter park, follow directions to "Lodge")
8:45am: Driver's Meeting
9:00am: Depart Salt Fork
1:00pm: Arrive in Marietta, Ohio and break for some food and another gas up. 3rd Street Deli is our lunch pit stop.
2:00pm: Gas up at Speedway (they sell 93 octane, no worries). Depart Marietta, Ohio and head west for the 2nd half.
5:30pm: Arrive in Caldwell, Ohio for some pictures in the area
6:00pm: Unofficial departing time back North or home for you southern folks.

The Route:

Details:
*Mileage from Salt Fork State Park lodge to Caldwell: 357 Miles
*Cost of Lunch/Person: ~$10-20 (restaurant is not very expensive)
*Route 78 is well-known for its extreme curves and views, and is sometimes locally referred to as the "Rim of the World."
*Car and Driver has called it one of the most scenic highways nationwide and uses these roads for road tests.

Additional Material (filmed and made by me):

These are a few videos of a portion of OH-78 from Caldwell to The Plains:

This is a crazy chicane and an example of not just the hills and valleys, but the extreme curves in this area:

This is a short documentary I made last year on Ohio Routes 78 and 26. I know, I know, it's terrible.

This looks like a blast. Weather is looking good for next Saturday as well. Posting to gain more interest, as I haven't met many people from this forum yet.
