Just curious if there are any other 3G TL owners in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area......I think it would be kinda cool to know some people who are local to discuss good shops, dealers, etc.

Let me know if any one else is interested in possibly starting a TL club of some sort around here.

So with that said.. I see around 2-3 TL 3rd Gen on the road daily. I'm sure one of those guys are you.

My typical route going from home to work is 169, in a black 06 TL, no mods no tint (yet).

PS. I am azn, so wave if you see one, and if they are confused chances are it's not me :P

Mornings my route is 169 South, to Bren Rd

then the opposite to 169 North to Champlin.

I hate 169 and it's 2 lane HWY.

Because of this.. there was a previous thread about MN then it got locked because it progressed into a "meet"

Yes I would be very interested count me in. I have an 04 TL Satin Silver 19' rims with BF Goodrich G Force tires. Will be adding A-Spec body kit this Summer. Keep me posted on the possible club.

I bought an 06 TL in October, black/navi/ 6-spd. manual. Does anyone know how to roll the windows up/down with the remote transmitter?

Sorry.....no idea

 

To roll the windows down with the remote transmitter, just press the unlock button on the remote twice. When you press it the second time, hold it down and the windows will start to open. If you release the unlock button while the windows are going down then they will stop.

There is no stock way to use the remote to roll the windows up. If you use the key in the door lock to lock the doors and hold in it the lock position then the windows will roll up. Same applies to using the key to unlock the doors. It may require a double key turn to lock/unlock with a hold for the roll up/down to occur.

There is an after-market solution to the roll up from the remote. Just seach for "window roll up module" in the forums and you'll find it. It may even be posted in the 3G garage.

I think I've seen that TL around as well. I saw a Blue TL in EP going on 212 toward Shokapee today.

I got the 35% at Sun-control in Brooklyn Park (Ask for Denis). Got the good stuff. The ceramic. I also got it "clear" on the front windshield. Helps the UV ya know......

 

i went to street scenes tint in brooklyn park. i got 30% - $200.

 

With that tint, notice any scratching on the tint itself? Even if does carry a lifetime warranty, still a PITA to take it back to get it fixed.

 

Hey Buda, I think you saw me!! I'm in EP as well. I just checked my calendar and that day you mentioned I was going down 212 towards Bluff Creek Golf Course. Around 3 PM or so? I haven't been on the board for a while, but with summer coming around have to see if there are any mods I can do...

If that was you I was behind you most of the time. You would have been turning left off of Prairie Center onto 212 heading south/west.

I live off of Charlson behind the Flying Cloud airport. I work in EP near the vikings winter facility. I have an NPB with body kit and tint. My sig has a link to my thread with some pics.

Most of the TL's I've seen in EP are stock and have an old lady driving them. One exception was a hot asian chic, but the kids in the back ruined it.

 

i see a lot of female CL drives, rarely TL drives are 3g'ers

 

I just talked to Denis at sun control in brooklyn park and he said they install the moleskin on all of the tls they do. he quoted me $269 for 20% pinnacle.

i also bought the 3M nosemask when i purchased the car--dealer installed for $299. they call it a nosemask but it's more like a hood mask. they don't install any on the front bumper.

 

I had the tint and clear bra put on at Auto Visions in EP.

Custom cut clear bra - $330
28% Solar Guard Supreme - $250 -- I got it for $125 as I got the clear bra done at same time.
Moleskin -- $60

 

did they install your clear bra around the front bumper?

 

No, it was on the hood and side mirrors I think. He could have done the bumper but that would have been another $500 and I didn't feel like having that done yet.
