It'd be cool to get some members together and share ideas and skills on mods and BBQ

Where in MI? I live not but 2 hours from Detroit.

 

There used to be a strong following in the metro Detroit area (dating back 6-7 years ago) ... but our 'gang' has kinda parted ways for various reasons ... I don't even drive my 2nd gen TL-S any more ... my wife has a '07 TSX so I'm still in the Acura family.

Good luck finding more AZ people in MI who are willing to meet up ...

There arent to many Acura enthusiasts in these parts it seems. Maybe if we branched out a little more we could get a meet together up in the Northern Ohio/Southern Michigan area

 

I'll be moving to the Ann Arbor area in a few weeks. After I get settled in I'd be willing to meet up. I don't have anything to show off (stock 05 RL), but it'd be fun to see what others have got going on.

 

Kinda disappointing since this is the motor state

That is true, I've been hitting up shops to get some work done for performance parts. All I hear is "errrr never worked on one of those before...We do mustangs"

 

I was just up in michigan this past week for a fishing trip in escanaba in the U.P. and I did not see one modded car the whole trip. It was kind of weird. I live in ohio and everyday you see 5-10 nicely modded cars just driving around.

 

Swing by AA next time and you can see a modded 3G :p

 

im down to meet up we have a few weeks off from school ... i am in the EL area but can come out to detroit for the meet ...

 

If we can muster up enough people, that would be cool

I honestly have only seen one other modded 2G TL in the time I have been here :/

 

There are other Acura owners in Michigan We could always join in on a larger meet from another site, like xceedspeed.com. Anyone want to go as a group to Cars, Coffee and Karts? Some nice cars show up there in my experience.

That sounds good but I have a TL-P and its all mostly stock only a little bit of work here and there not ready for a show (yet)
But im totally free this weekend even if its a few other guys.
I have had this week off of work and been bored and all my other friends are working just like 08FLrdxSH-AWD

That meet is on the first Saturday of every month, so the next one to roll around is the first Saturday of September. That meet section of xceed would be something to watch. It would give us a good reason to congregate and some other stuff to look at as well

The reason I chose that particular one was because I like the crowd there. More mature, less toretto burnouts

 

I used to go to the xceedspeed meets-totally lame. They didnt take kindly to my 3G. Like Derrick said, we used to have a great following ( Windsor and the Toronto too), but everyone has kind of gone seperate ways. It won't be too much longer and I will be getting out of the Acura family.

 

It really depends which one you go to. Toronto has a following of, well, everything. Canada is so much from the automotive community aspect. I'm originally from Montreal. The scene is a lot better there, and Toronto is great.

I put a reminder in my calendar to recheck this thread on May 4th, 2014 to see if we can get something airborne.

I am in the Grand Rapids area and have a notably modded 04 6MT TL. I have done all of the wrenching on my car and learned from many others along the way (thank you!). My wife has a lightly modded 04 MDX and I also have a Gen 1 Celica GT in progress.

Hey whats Good? You guys in the off season over there with meets?

 

I'm also in the GR area and I've got an 05 AM 6MT. I've seen two modded TLs driving around; one was a NBP and the other I believe was a silver Type-S. Are they either of you GR guys' rides? I'll be sure to check this periodically as I'm definitely down for a meet up once it gets a little warmer.

 

I live in the scenic Belleville area, my wife and I have pretty much stock Acura, but we would be down to meet with the group.

A summer meet would be great! Maybe lansing area so its half way for grand rapids and Detroit areas. I was debsting even going to the kansas city meet so a meet in Michigan would be awesome!
