Well I am bringing this thread back up. I would like to check out some good-looking TL's before the end of the year. You guys can look at my bone stock one and suggest me what I should do.

I bought a 2005 Acura TL Base, Red Redondo Pearl in color and only 65,000 miles. It has camel/tan interior and so far I LOVE it. Handles better than anything I have owned and the engine just purrs!

 

5AT or 6MT?
Sometime next year, we are going to have to get together. Maybe make a little trip to other states.

What did you drive before the TL? I had a '97 Maxima before the TL and it drove like a boat till I got springs. I was suprised the TL already had decent handling from stock.

jungy4 for sure we should get together next year and i'm up for hitting up some meets in surrounding states. we can then have a 3 car caravan

 

Yeap, I really would like to go to the annual big meet down in KS/MO area. I wanted to go last year but something came up.

Sooo, are we ready for another Iowa winter? I think I need a new set of tires before the first snow hits.

 

yep ready for another winter, I actually picked up Continental DWS tires before last years winter since my OEM tires were horrible even in rain. The DWS are awesome in rain and performs really well in snow.

Johnsonbi, does your car have a Iowa Hawkeye sticker on the rear side windows? I saw a Red TL with rear tinted windows and hawkeye sticker this past weekend.

 

My Acura Certified Pre-Owned TL came with brand new set of Yokohama tires and there isn't much tread left only 26000 miles later. Not to mention it started making loud noises.

 

I have not purchased separate winter tires yet. I don't travel that much in the winter except by plane and the all season's I have seem to do well in the rain. I'm going to see if I can get through this winter and then determine if I need separate ones.

My TL does not bot have a Hawkeye sticker! My wife would like! I will root for the Hawks as along as they are not playing my team (Ohio State - yes, we are having a rough year!).

Final note of this post, when is the next Acura owner gathering and where? I'd like to attend one of these very soon.

 

Probably not till next spring.
There is a huge annual meet down in KS/MO area every summer and it seems like there are many people in other neighboring states like MN or IL.

 

ah i guess that wasn't you then, I've noticed more and more TLs in Iowa lately as they are getting older.

As Jungy said, probably will have to wait till next spring/summer for meets. I hope they do have the huge meet in KC again, looking forward to attending that next year.
