On the Friday after 9/11 four of my buddies and I drove accross the country from Phoenix AZ to NYC in 33.5 hours. We stopped for gas and bathroom stop every 500 miles. We stopped for food 3 times and other than that we never saw a cop and we were getting passed at 100mph all the time.

I did DFW to Atlanta in a day last year. It took right at about 12 hours. Only stopped once for gas and then one other time to grab some coffee for a pick me up. Brought food along so I wouldn't have to worry about that.
I was dead. Surprised at how much distance driving can drain you.

now---theres a killer meet planned and i got a damn blown rear main seal that leaks like crazy

To the fellow TSXer's, don't be scared to drive cross country I drove from Colorado Springs to Baltimore in 25 hours, not to mention I had to drive back. It's not bad guys and don't stress the mileage...... IF you take care or her, she'll take care of you regardless how many miles you have on her. Not to mention she's an Acura!!!! See you guys there.

Uhmm lets see. 19 hours 38 mins/ 1,208 miles one way on my car with about 160,000 miles on it.
I wouldn't risk it. If I had a new car then sure why not!
I have done countless trips to Mooresville, North Carolina and Back to New Jersey (10 hours) but this is just way too much.
For those of you that are going from NY and NJ, I hope you guys and gals do a nice tune up before you head out.

I actually do my trips to North Carolina ONLY at night. Leave around 8 or 9 pm.
Pretty smooth driving. Never hit any traffic and night time has cooler temp = better for car.
Only cons I see is that the headlights will be on and during the summer.. bugs are attracted to light so more carnage on your front bumper and not a lot of businesses are open.
