**2011 acurazine national mega meet**
Just had this crazy idea of a HUGE all Acura Mega Meet in the summer of 2011 and was wondering who would even consider it? All Acura owners & Aziners welcome! Some central USA location for easy driving or whatever has the most people signed up. Ideas/thoughts?

Don't mean to rain on your thoughts here- tried this for the unveiling of the 4G TL, even talked with Acura, they would not commit and never got any more than 20 responses.
I am for it, St Louis would be nice, althought it would be a long haul for me. I drive anywhere for meets. Been to Chicago, Norwalk, Atlanta, Bedford heights a couple of times. So driving for me is a moot point. Everyone will say a location near them and let everyone else make the drive. Maybe moving to Chicago, so...

Yeah it doesn't even have to be at the midpoint, I say we do it where the most people are coming from...whether that be east coast or west coast. Since I don't think they'll be too many TLs in Kansas...Dallas or something seems reasonable. It would be great if we could get this to happen sometime.

Guys, a more "center" midpoint for the US would be Kansas City. We will be having our 3rd annual Acura meet in late May or early June! Plus, it's sponsored by an ACURA dealership-Jay Wolfe Acura. I should have a final date this week or next week.
We have a posse of guys that drive in from St. Louis every year. Plus, guys come in from Omaha, Oklahoma City, Hays, KS. It would be great to see a contingency come in from Chicago and surrounding areas!!!
Plus, Jay Wolfe Acura supplies free food, drinks, trophies for judged categories, etc. XM/Sirius should be there this year. Jay Wolfe clears off their entire front lot for this event. Last year, we had around 60 cars on display!

I'm from Chicago and would like to ride up with anyone from the area to this potential meet. It would be my first but my car is clean and I should have maybe a few nice things done by then? Let's get a crew from Chicago going.

Not much to do in Kansas either. I would seriously recommend Dallas, TX as that is where MOST national meets happen for other car groups. It is a large city, many things to do, and better weather!

Guys, this meet is going to happen. I'm discussing details now with the powers that be. You can mark June 6th on your calendar. I'll have specifics soon.

Safety Car
3 Road Race Tracks
1 - Drag Strip
1- Dallas Cowboys
1 - Mavericks
And so on. Again there is a reason why most car National meets happen in Dallas. But I do not live there so I can't give a full detail on activities.

I just checked the Kansas City Royals schedule-they are at home against Detroit all weekend of June 6th. Royals Stadium just got a $250 million renovation-it's beautiful. The Power & Light District (downtown) is awesome for restaurants, live music, bars, etc and the brand new Sprint Center is next door. The Country Club Plaza is THE open air shopping/dining/place to be seen area of the city.
Yea, we'll keep you MORE than busy!
