Wheel Repair in Maryland?
Wheel Repair in Maryland?
I have a set of Volk GT-7's that have two bends that I need to fix soon. Can anyone recommend a place that can fix bends/curbings and powdercoat?
I'm in the Rockville area.

There is a shop up near baltimore called Ye Ole Wheel shop. You could google it for the number. There turn around time is long, although you can pay extra for quicker turn around. I had an aspec wheel on my old rsx done there. Looked decent, they had a problem matching the paint though
i was going to say ye ole wheel shop but expect it to be there minimum of 2 weeks and at most 4 weeks depends on how backed up they are i've used them a couple times and had no issues and recommend their work. You can also call Radial Tire in Silver Spring, MD. they don't do repairs there but will recommend where to take your rims to get repaired.
good luck

I went to Sharper Image in Waldorf, MD (yes it's a far drive) to get my Work VS-XX wheel after that pothole by Gude and Rockville Pike bent my wheel. EuRTSX, you probably already know my story lol.

Well just got some bad news from Ye Olde Wheel Shop...
My wheels are 3-piece Enkei's
Apparently there is some special tool from Enkei that they need in order to take apart the wheels, which they don't have. They tried to get Enkei to sell them this tool, but did not have any luck. So they cannot polish the lip without taking the wheel apart. The way the spokes are, if they did polish it would not get the whole lip on the wheel
I am going to just take my wheels back and figure something else out.

Chris,
I'm glad i found you on the forum. if you haven't guessed, I have a TL. If you wanna do something let me know, Twisdit (Andy) said he was going to Georgetown sometime to take pictures. I don't have an exact date. But, I guess I'll see you at the College Park Tuning.
