Talking WAWA Gas

I have been going to Wawa gas for about 6 years now, I am not looking to change since it is right next to my house but I am curious to find out if others use it and also any infromation on it compares to Sunoco, Exxon or Mobile...

I try and get the Sunoco 93 every 2 to 3 weeks to change it up.. I cant find the 94 anywhere near me in West Chester PA

well looking for thoughts since I see Wawa gas cropping up everywhere in my area.. and their prices are very good.. or atleast competitive

and if anyone knows where to get a really high octane gas in the area that would be great.. not for every day but just to add or mix up.. an I also like to try new things

I have a Wawa right around the block from me. They aren't the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. I get gas from them, Costco, BJs, and occasionally Shell. I don't notice a difference in performance or gas mileage. I do notice when they change to the winter blend though

The Wawa near me only does 92 octane. Everywhere else is 93.

I can certainly tell where you NOT to buy gas.

See this http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/video...lems/132751993

Seems like Costco gas and Honda/Acura engines = death !

I prefer Shell and Sunoco 93 gas. I never get good mpg with wawa gas. Prices are similar.

I dont have an issue with the Costco near me. The store by me gets gas out of the same truck that delivers to the big name stations.

The Sunoco near me costs 10-15 cents more per gallon for 93.. there is one next to my office that costs just as much as the wawa next to my house which I do get gas at least onces every two weeks.. or every other or 3rd fill up... wish though they had 94 around... I know I wont notice a difference but it is better for me metnally.. makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside

Besides Winter/Summer Blends ... there are ethanol, and detergent issues. Winter Blend is designed to start better in cold snowy areas.
Not all detergents are same or used to same degree.
Ethanol soaks up water content from ground and air and that is often the biggest delta.
If we go from 10% to 15% Ethanol {as the EPA is pushing for} expect more problems inc your warranty claims.

Yea, Ethanol pisses me off. Gas mileage on that drops too. I really hope they dont push this E15 bs through. I dont think my fuel system can handle it.

Wow good thing I came across this link so I can tell you guys of my experience.
I noticed after putting in wawa gas recently that my car makes a whining nose with the AC/heater fan on. Then, thinking it might be the gas, I filled it up at BP and the whine goes away.

Today, before coming into work I was low on gas and decided to put in wawa gas and guess what? The noise is back!

It might be a bad batch, but I'm telling you I'll never put in wawa gas again. Plus they only carry 92 anyways.

according to the wawa gasoline website-they only use top-tier gasoline. When I in NJ or Va I get the gasoline from Wawa.

Soo jdm and domestic car enthusiasts should boycott all gas co's that take their money overseas . I only get sunoco / wawa in case of emergency / costco rarely i have felt sluggish performance from it / shell is like a last resort or die. BUT sunoco is top tier i support them 99 percent because i am the 99 percent. PAUL has a interesting break down of gasoline companies over at v6'p.

^ do you have a link to Paul's breakdown?

Also do all gas stations use ethanol now or are there some who do not? I ask ebcause I went by Shell and noticed they did not have an ethanol sign...

07tlsWDP... that issue has not happened to me... but something to watch out for

In NC-gas stations do not have to post if they use ethanol. I did pass a BP station that had a sign-no ethanol-on my way to Wilmington on Highway 17

Yea, most stations that don't have ethanol in their fuel advertise it. Here in VA I think they are required by law to post how much ethanol the fuel has. There is one station I refuse to go to that has 15% ethanol. The others have 10%.

Mostly BJ's. Occasionally I would use Wawa and has never had a problem. I fill up twice a week.
