PA Emissions question

Looking to get a catback exhaust for my '07 base. No way am I suggesting putting any inspection shop on blast. Just a general question if any catback exhaust would pass or not. First vehicle i've ever owned that I actually wanted to do some mods to and i'm just weary about it.

Thanks, homies. keep it 100

Catback has zero effect on emissions so it'll pass. If you delete cats it'll fail the visual, but shops vary how strict they are with visual. What they really care about is that there is no CEL, they plug in the OBDII port and the state's computer says if it passes or not. If the computer thinks all your emissions controls are working you get a sticker. The only time the catback might come into play is on safety inspection if it leaks bad or has no mufflers it'll fail there. I removed the third cat and still passed because it doesn't trigger a CEL. That's the same for anything 1996 or newer, 95 down it has to pass at the tail pipe unless you drive less than 5000 miles a year.
