Need advice on fixing/replacing leather seat

The perforated bottom part of my driver seat developed a large crack in it, apparently from drying out and being in cold weather. I looked around on the net but didn't see any obvious places to purchase replacement seat covers or recommendations for repair techniques.

I was wondering if there were any recommendations for places to get replacement leather covers? I'm also looking for suggestions of good places to consider in the Baltimore/Washington area to take it for repair.

Go to oemacuraparts.com and go through the dropdown menus for your car- you can get OEM replacement leathers for your seat, then take them to an upholstery shop to be installed.

I would check with your dealer. My 2006 Nav was almost at the end of the warranty and the driver's seat developed some cracks in the leather. They replaced it under warranty no questions asked.

I worked at a trim store and specialized in in leather installation. It's really not that hard to do.It's just a timely pain in the ass project. First though check with some of the name brand dealers around there and ask them for a number for their upholstery person. EVERY major volume dealership (not just an acura dealer) has several different people that come by and do little misc things to fix the cars that they get. One for glass, one for paint, etc. Then if that doesn't work, try the place ERDOC said to go to. Finally you have one other solution; Katzkin Leather is a hell of a product. I highly recommend it. Only problem is its not going to match the crappy factory leather we get that comes with these cars.... And its about a grand ($$) to fit the whole vehicle. Check it out http://katzkin.com/main.html . If you need help or directions on how to install any type of seat cover feel free to pm me.

I dont know. My computer at work let me look at that site for some reason. I promise you guys that those used car dealers have a guy in their pocket to fix leather. prolly cost $65/75 do fix. Go to a Cadillac dealer or something like a GMC dealership with a volume used car center. A shitty little wholesale dealership isnt going to have people like that.

Yeah I am working on everything. haha
I work at a dealership so I got a guy to do my bumper for cheap. I am going to call him after finals.
And I have another guy for the interior and I am going to call him. He said he could fix up my interior no problem but I find it hard to believe although I know he does good work. My dealership is the number one Infiniti Dealership in the world in terms of volume so we have guys for just about everything.

Really. I have a crack in my leather on the passenger seat. However I also have a tear in bottom portion, will that effect their decision to cover the crack?

guys you have to keep leather, like any other fabric/upholstery, CLEAN!! Would you wear the same pair of underwear for a year or even a month without ever changing them lol?? Your seats take the brunt of you sliding in over and over, spilling shit on em farting on etc. CLEAN your leather. My 07 interior looks like i drove it off the showroom floor. Kiwi saddle soap and a good brand of leather care lotion and welbow grease? I clean my leather every 2/3 weeks or so. takes 30 mins once you get it down and then very little time to maintain.
