Anyone interested in a detail? MD/PA/NOVA
i just wanted to make a short intro thread to offer my detailing services to anyone in the immediate area. i operate on weekends (saturday and sunday) and have a wide range of services available. anything from a quick interior/exterior wash to a full blown paint correction. prices vary depending on job/size of vehicle.
located in baltimore, maryland...i try and stay as local as i can. you can either come to me, or i can come to you if mileage is within reason.
spring/summer is upon us...time to get your ride looking sharp!
any questions, feel free to PM me or email/text.

Asking for pricing when we don't know the quality of his work is absurd. Asking him for a price for things like " a lil paint restoration" is equally foolish.
What I consider a good detail probably differs greatly from most people on this board. Like new isn't even close to good enough.
What someones idea of "minor" paint correction is will also vary from individual to individual.
Even a wash is difficult to quote. Does that include scrubbing the exhaust tips? Wheel off wash? Old wax removal or is it a high school car wash with a hose, a bucket and a couple of dirty sponges from his mom's kitchen?
What we need it some before and after photos and the prices charged to obtain those results. That'll allow us to decide if there is any value in this.

PM'd.
fair enough. i will post some before and after photos of cars i've completed and how i achieved the results.
i use nothing but high quality products and nothing short of perfection leaves my driveway. i take pride in what i do, and have never had a customer/client leave upset or unsatisfied.
this forum is a public board with gray areas of offering services to the public, that said...i didn't want to cross any lines or post too much information in this feeler thread. i hope you understand what i'm saying.
PM me if you have any questions or concerns.
not a problem. just let me know.

I know that a full detail on a car in good condition will take a full day so I can't expect a $90 quote. OTOH, most people would freak if you told them that a detail will cost them $400.
Being mobile, I can only expect that you can do a clay and a single pass correction/polish followed by a wax or sealant.
In the case of a detailer, you usually get what you (are willing to) pay for.
The local car wash place does a killer business with their touchless (not meaning touchless, but that it touches less) wash, followed by a swarm of Guatamalans drying your car with a filthry rag and shipped of to another car care "expert" who pours some wax on the car and slaps a cotton rag over a Walmart $19.95 two handled buffer and proceeds to "polish" the car. The final product looks OK but not good and probably lasts until the glaze wears off following the next rain. They get about $50 for that.

I wasn't questioning your creds but I find it funny that people would ask you to quote a price when you have no idea of the current condition or the customer's expectation.

you wouldn't believe how many phone calls/texts/emails i get asking for quotes on things when i have never even laid eyes on their car.
most are done on site and prices depend on how much correction is needed, how much time it will take, and what products used.
a lot of people who have swirls/scratches just want them covered. a lot of people want them totally removed. everybody is different and i'll usually recommend what i think is best for a particular client (a full correction).
people don't realize how expensive detailing is. a lot of money gets poured in from my end on products, time/labor, etc.
i do charge less than the big boy shops because i do thoroughly enjoy what i do. i'm not here to make a career, just looking to help out those who want it.

Hey guys.
Just wanted to post for SharksBreath.
I had my van mini-detailed last week, and I was very happy with the results.
As he stated, he uses quality products and takes his time. In fact, I was the one rushing him, as I had to be somewhere.
Nonetheless, for the price and service I recieved, I was very happy! You can't beat it, and it's much better to take your car to someone you know, then a high-volume car wash.
Don't hesitate to take your car to him. He will do a fine job!
Thanks SharksBreath, I will be coming back for more detailing!

I'm more concerned about the ridiculous amount of rock chips on the front bumper on my CBP TL.
Trying to find someone good to fix it so I can clearbra it....

rock chips pretty much are what they are. touchup paint and clear will only go so far, until you get to the point where an entire respray is in order which goes for about $250-$300 on that front bumper.

might be a little difficult to detail in january when the detail spray freezes in mid air and its just ice mist hitting your RL.

OP: What brand of products do you use? I'd like to get my 911TT done but I would want the following done: wash, claybar, swirl/haze/light scratch removal via orbital buffer and seal (Opti). PM me a price. I live 5-7mins away from Arundel Mills.
Thx.
Thx.
