I can vouch for Dennis. I worked with him few times. Very knowledgeable guy about our cars. RL/TL/TSX/RSX etc.. Hes basically the neighborhood mechanic. He works from his home garage in Lorton, VA. Price he charges is very very reasonable.

I'd recommend UCS Performance in Beltsville, MD.

Depends on what you want. UCS Performance could possibly help you. You need to discuss with them. If that doesn't work out for you, try Fresh Designs in Ellicott City, MD.

Thanks for the information Oneonlywgs. The coilovers were installed yesterday. I just need to wait for the springs to settle and install the EDFC kit and get a alignment.

I'm having some issues with current Teins SS coilovers and I need to preload them which my mechanic never did. Is there a good shop in the Germantown, Gaithersburg area. I'm having a clunking noise from my springs.

Curry's in Gaithersburg on 355 near Lakeforest Mall - just opposite the strip mall with the Bed Bath and Beyond a block from the 355/28 intersection.

Not the cheapest place but they know what they are doing. There is also a shop in Germantown behind the BP station near the intersection of 118 and Crystal Rock that has a good reputation but the name escapes me.

I've used Curry's but not the other place.

Thanks for the info. Have someone had any experience at B&V Performance in Damascus.

I can vouch for curry's in gaithersburg.

and speaking of preload, theres no independent preload adjustment on the tein ss. The preload is determined by the height.

If its clucking it might just be a loose bolt that needs to be tighten.

Zelaya

You might consider installing some Silenser Rubber inserts on the springs.
Specially in the area were the springs coil are closer to each other. When the springs gets compress the silenser eliminates the clicking sound of when the spring is compressed.

Thanks guys for the recomendations, I went to Curry's @ Gaithersburg location last Thursday and Danny and Matt the mechanic help me with the issue. Just have to wait and see if the clunking noise comes back. The mechanic end up using the manual reference and lowered the car to 20mm front and 33mm for the rear which is too low for my taste but will see if that fix the issue, I think I need to raise the rear a bit.

Hey Melvin, thanks for the suggestion I do remember my Teins CS for the RL has them but for rear only but I'll check them out.

^ Not a problem, I ordered the rubber silenser inserts for all 4 springs and it made a hell of difference on my TEIN SS

Melvin, I'll pm my phone number, if you don't mind I'd like to ask you a few question.

+1 on Dennis

He does awesome work and his prices can't be beat by anyone.

He installed my Navtool, Ps2, rear camera, H&R sport springs, and a bunch of other stuff on my car and my friends car.

Really cool and chill guy to deal with. He does work out of his garage but again, hes a good guy, honest and trust worthy.

I messaged him recently about getting my coils and PCDs installed. He said hes been busy with work and stuff and likely will be for the next month or two so no car related work for a while :whyme:

Z (Oscar), did spring silencers fix the problem?

The clunking noise is less the more I drive it but I ended ordering silencer rubber from tein which has been shipped. I'll text you once I get them.
