For sale is my 2007 Acura TL Type S. The car has just under 128,500 miles. I am selling it because it just isn't working out for me anymore. I have small business, and I ship out a ton of stuff. I have gotten to the point where the car is just too small for me. That is the only reason I am selling. I love the car, and I love driving the car every day. It's just time to move on. The car is located in Knoxville,TN, but I will be in Memphis in mid March for a little while. I purchased this car in July of 2014 from a man in the military that was going to be away for long time, so he sold it. The car was originally purchased in Hawaii. It brought over here when the 2nd owner became stationed here. I bought the car from him in Shreveport,LA.
Here are some facts about the car.

Timing Belt, serpentine belt, idler pulley, water pump, thermostat, and all the other stuff that is suppose to be replaced during that time was replaced at 98k miles, which I believe was in early November of 2014.

Oil pan gasket was replaced about a year ago.

All 4 tires were replaced about a year ago with Continental DWS Extreme Contact.

New battery was replaced about a year ago. It has a five year warranty on it with AutoZone.

Alternator was replaced over the summer. ( I did this with my friend, so I do not have a receipt.)

Lower ball joints were replaced over the summer. (I did this with my friend, so I do not have a receipt.)

The transmission range sensor was replaced over the summer. (I did this with my friend, so I do not have a receipt.)

Around Thanksgiving I had the rear pads and rotors replaced.

Around New Year I had the front pads and rotors replaced. The pads were the Brembo's on TireRack. The rotors are slotted and drilled rotors purchased from RockAuto. I will say there is some squeaking when coming to a stop at red lights.


Here are a couple issues that the car has.

1) The car has a small oil leak. I am pretty sure it is the oil pump seal, which I have learned is a fairly common issue. I debating on having this fixed when I go home to Memphis. I don't really have anybody in Knoxville I trust to do this job. Keep in mind that the price will go up if I have this fixed. The leak

2)When going over speed bumps and such at low speeds, there is a noise in the right front. I had a specialist that only works on Honda's and Acura's say that it was bearing in the upper strut mounts. He advised me not to fix it because it was just a noise, and it was not something that was harmful. The quote was $400 to have both left and right sides done. I'm sure if you shop around you can get it done a bit cheaper.

3) I wasn't paying attention one day when backing out of the garage and the passenger side mirror scraped the wall slightly. There is very little damage that is only noticeable when you really look at the mirror. If you're wondering, the blinker light on the mirror still works perfectly. (Pictures of the damage is included.)

4) This isn't an issue, but it is worth mentioning because I want to be extremely transparent with you. The CarFax shows the car was in a minor accident. The previous owner told me that was not true, and he was very adamant about it. I took him at his word because he was a graduate from West Point and I had an immense amount of respect for him. (he wasn't just saying that graduated from there, I was able to verify that) I told my mechanic about what the CarFax showed and he said he believe it was likely an error in the system somehow because the car showed no signs of ever being in an accident.

5) Like I said above, I ship out a lot of items. I also just have stuff going in and out all the time. The interior could use a good professional cleaning.

-Included with the car is...
-3 keys.
-The original carpet floor mats, and OEM all weather black floor mats.
-I have a very nice, high quality sun shade.
-There is a black dash mat I have put over the dash just so the sun can't reach it.
-Lastly, but most important, it includes the best color the TL was ever made in!!

Didn't know where to list this, but I know this is very important to many of you. The dash is NOT cracked.

Just to give you guys a little more info, I went to the dealer today to get the oil changed. There is 7mm left on the rear brakes, 9mm on the front, and 7/32 tire tread. If you want to see more pictures of anything please feel free to ask!

Here's an update. The car is still for sale. Quanaman found a MT that was closer to him. I don't think any of us can blame him for wanting a MT. The car I was looking at buying sold, so I'm not longer in a huge rush to sell. I'm also trying to let the 2017's come out so deprecation will hit a little more on the car(s) that I'm looking at. Because of that, I am keeping the price at $8,900.
The oil leak has not been fixed. I figured up how much it was leaking, and it just wasn't near enough to justify spending that kind of money. Also, just last week I had the spark plugs replaced. The car now has around 132,000.

BUMP!
Car is still for sale. The car now has just under 136,000 miles. Since my last post nothing else has changed expect for an oil change or two, and I just had the tires balanced and rotated along with an alignment less than two weeks ago. I am now adjusting the price to $8,500. The car is now located in Memphis for the summer.
I am adding some new pictures of the car that I was able to take today while cleaning it up.

Last thing, I just checked the oil, which was changed about 3 weeks ago, and it is still over the full line on the stick. The oil leak is very very minimal!!

 

How has this not sold, sure it's an auto, but wow. If you were closer I would head to the bank and get right away.
