Beware scammers responding to WTB ads - Rennlist Discussion Forums

PLEASE READ!!! I WOULDN'T POST THIS IF I WAS JUST JOKING AROUND.

If you reply to this email, he'll show you a picture of the product you are looking for and he will require a money transfer. NOT PAYPAL. You guys are pretty cool for what you guys do and how helpful some of you are, I wouldn't want any of you to actually transfer the guy money. Please be careful.

Thank you for your service.

I'm sure Ron A picks up on most fishy/sketchy scam posts.

I would catch any posts like that.

I don't see PM's so can't protect against scams.

Please forward PM from jsuther to me.

There's a thread in Planet9.com with the same links.

Thanks for posting this. After checking it all out I see it is a widespread scam practice; one that I hadn't heard of before.

Jsuther has been banned and his information submitted to the Stop Forum Spam service.

We have it set for 2 posts and will leave it at that for now.

If this becomes more of a problem here we will certainly consider it, but ir would be pretty easy to make 5 posts but then they would have to wait for 15 days for their account to be upgraded so it could be a good deterrent.

Really, who would fall for such stuff. Like the Nigerian Prince who needs to deposit money in the US. People really have to think more and these scammers are out of business.
