I have the same pen, but for the life of me I could not figure out how to get the "PEN" tip to work.
Because of that, I have only been using the brush that requires you to unscrew the cap. I removed the "orange" plastic whatever that it said to, but my pen still doesn't work.

But removing the orange cap will allow air in and dries the paint faster. Plus, the pen part of it, is pretty useless...to get it to dispense you have to press the tip on the surface which guarantees you won't get clean coverage.
