Description:
Reluctantly putting my stock Acura TL-S - originally Alabaster Silver Metallic (unmodified, except the wrap - Black Rose) on the market... I invested so much to bring this car up to date with maintenance and repairs and moved the car all the way from NYC and Dallas - please see below, as I try to be as thorough as I possibly can describing the condition of the car and pointing out details that might be necessary for an interested buyer.
First, to abide by the marketplace rules:
1. Reason for selling.
Have a little one on the way and also looking to enter the market to buy a house this year - extra $$$ will help!
2. Are you the first owner? If not, how many owners were there (to the best of your knowledge)?
I am the second owner of the car (I have the CarFax that I pulled prior to purchase)
3a. TITLE: Is it clean, clear, rebuilt, or salvage? If other, please explain.
Title is Clean
3b. Do you have title in hand or it is being held by a lienholder?
Fully paid off - Title in hand
4. Pictures: Just a reminder to be sure to post interior and exterior pictures. And pictures of each side of the car that aren't already posted.
Current pictures on phone uploaded and recently taken within the last week (will add more upon request!)
5. If leased, provide details, such as length of lease, payoff amount, etc.
N/A
Description/details of maintenance and current condition of car:
I bought the car back in May 2018. As soon as I bought the car, my main focus was to bring it up to date with maintenance and repairs. I had the following repairs and maintenance done in 2018:
1. Major maintenance - timing belt and water pump replacement
2. New OEM rotors and brake pads.
3. Valve adjustment
4. Oil change and swapped out current transmission fluid with AC Delco Synchromesh
5. Replaced EVAP Purge Valve (to fix "Tighten Fuel Cap" message)
6. Replaced all four tires with Michelin A/S Pilot Sport+ and all four TPMS
7. Replaced battery and alternator (OEM)
8. Valve adjustment performed
9. New all-weather floor mats/cargo tray and a sunshade to protect dashboard against cracks.
In the same year (2018) of ownership of the car, my car was side-swiped by a rental car, while parked (have a separate post on this on the forums) - had to sue the rental company that refused to pay for damages and won the case through small claims court.
Aftermath of accident:
damages to the front bumper, driver side fog light, fog light wiring, driver side front bumper reinforcement, front grille/molding
After the accident, I decided to buy and add/replace the following with all OEM parts purchased from Acura Parts for Less in New Jersey/AZine members:
1. Front bumper
2. Rear bumper
3. Full A-Spec kit
4. Driver side fog light
5. Front grille/molding
6. Manual shift-knob
7. Door/window visors
Before leaving to Dallas, I brought my car to Acura Master technician - Paul in Northern Jersey for a general check-up and he replaced the following:
1. Clutch
2. Engine motor mounts
I wanted this done before my move since I knew he was a well-respected and trust mechanic among the AZine community. The car was towed on a towing bed (I really didn't want the car to be dragged for thousands of miles so put in extra $$$ to rent a towing bed for the move).
I can't think of any mechanical issues with the car - I used to have a clutch chirp, which disappeared after I replaced the clutch. Paul did mention that the clutch master cylinder will need replacement sometime in the near future.
Please note the following, as these are the current issues/quirks with the car:
1. I decided not to have the front/rear bumper painted, since I was going to have the car wrapped - the bumpers are still unpainted.
2. The front and rear A-Spec kits are white (the A-Spec side skirts are matched to the original color of car (Alabaster Silver Metallic).
3. The fuel tank cover release is disconnected (haven't had the chance to fix this - I just use a plastic card to open the gas cover).
4. The car is wrapped in 3M Black Rose and the roof is wrapped in Black.
Other than that, I believe the car is in great mechanical condition and I've had no major issues with the car and the interior/seats are still in great condition as well (and NO DASH CRACK). I mostly drive it on the weekends (which is why I added less than 3,000 miles on the car from first owning the car).
If you have any other questions or comments, please feel free to PM me! I hope I was thorough enough to give you a peace of mind!
Thank you for your interest and good luck with your search!
*** Will post more exterior pictures when I have the chance!
