Description:
If you are posting a vehicle for sale, please include the following information:
1. Reason for selling.
Bought a new car.
2. Are you the first owner? If not, how many owners were there (to the best of your knowledge)?
I'm the second owner. I've had the car since 2012.
3a. TITLE: Is it clean, clear, rebuilt, or salvage? If other, please explain.
Clean title in my name.
3b. Do you have title in hand or it is being held by a lien holder?
I have the title in hand, no lien holder.
4. Pictures: Just a reminder to be sure to post interior and exterior pictures showing both sides of the car and front and rear.
Pictures are on the listing and will be added through request, or just pm me for more picture of specific items. I can also do a live walk around via facetime.
5. If leased, provide details, such as length of lease, payoff amount, etc.
Paid off, I own it.
6. TIMING BELT: If your car has a timing belt, and it is near or over 105,000 miles, or has lesser miles but is 8 years old or older, post if and/or when the timing belt was changed, and the mileage, and also if the water pump and tensioner were replaced.
The timing belt, drive belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner, spark plugs, and transmission fluids were all changed at 100k miles around 2018-2019. Brand new VTEC assembly installed last year to stop minor oil leak from old gaskets. Brand new radiator installed last year (original started leaking at the seams). Brand new oil pan installed last year (original drain bold was stripped by shop during an oil change). Clutch (Spec stage 1) was last installed ~3-4 years ago, along with new front sway bar bushings (gota drop the sub-frame for that), new bushings for Progress rear sway bar and new compliance bushings, and new motor and tranny mounts from Innovative. Brand new Tein Z coil overs installed last year, and the rear multilink were all replaced back around 2014 (check build thread for more accurate date). Has modern looking 5k LED DRLs from VLEDS (with wiring harness).
General Information:
It's time to let my baby go. It's a great car, strong and reliable. Most mods are shown in my sig below. I have both key fobs (driver 1 and 2), along with the valet key.
137,677 original miles as of this writing. Never smoked in. Well kept over the years. Always Mobil 1 oil and filter and 93 octane gas. Hondata tuned, pulls good and corners very good when driven spiritedly, and is still comfortable when driven normally. It's also a rare 6-SPD manual (w/LSD), in the Carbon Bronze Pearl color, ebony dual tone interior.
Issues:
- There is a minor scrape that is starting to rust in the passenger side rear quarter panel (see image included). It was there when I bought the car. Given the slow rate of decay I'm confident the car will outlast it before it becomes a major thing. It can be fixed and repainted of you really want to. I dont even notice it anymore.
- The rear passenger side brake caliper needs to be cleaned up and the weather boot replaced. The original boot popped out and the cylinder has a little rust on it from water/moisture. This causes the caliper to stick when the brake pad wears down about 1/2 way. I installed a new brake pad couple of weeks ago but at this point I'd rather sell the car as is and don't want to continue the upkeep.
- Minor paint fade on the spoiler from the sun exposure.
- Power steering started to whine a few weeks ago in the morning. Not sure if it needs a new pump or whatever the fix is for that sort of thing.
- Dashboard is cracked, very common for these cars given the age.
- Some of the black exterior trimming around the side windows is starting to fade, again something common for this car given the age.
- Not really an "issue" per say, just cosmetic, but the powder coat on the upper manifold has bubbled up, which is common for these manifolds after a few years. This can easily be re-painted or polished. The manifold itself is ported and polished (both upper and lower), so it's a keeper.
- I had the headlights clear coated ~5-6 years ago. It's starting to peel off. Plenty of DIY restoration kits out there. Affordable and easy to restore.
- The car came with tinted windows when I bought it in 2012. The rear window is bubbling off. Can easily be restored. Sides are good.

@thoiboi thx!
UPDATE ON CAR: I have fixed the rear caliper (replaced it), so no longer an issue. Was also making a noise from under the hood, caused by a belt tensioner - replaced the tensioner and got a new belt as well.
