Roof Molding comming loose on my '03 Acura RSX.

Does anyone else have this problem? Where I live in FL the rubber molding on the roof is pretty much bubbling. Where could I get a descent price on this?

Also the sun has worn the hell out of my Steering Wheel as well. Does anyone know if you can just buy the tan leather for the steering wheel without buying the whole steering wheel.

Thanks in advance.

Here are pics of what the moldings & steering wheel look like.

Passenger side this is the worse side.

Drivers side

Steering Wheel.

Now you can see why I want to get rid of them.

For the molding, check out a site like www.acuraautomotiveparts.org or www.acuraoemparts.com

For the steering wheel, you're better off just replacing it, it's very simple, just make sure you unplug the battery and give the airbag 30 mins or so to uncharge before removing, then it's justa couple screws and wires and you can remove the steering wheel. I suggest renting a sw puller from autozone or advanced auto, you can rent it for a deposit and get your money back when you're done.

Thanks for those sites I'll have to save them to my favorites. I actually found a junk yard where I used to live in NY and I'm going there on Vacation in a few weeks. So I will get the Steering Wheel from them. Maybe I could convince them to get the molding as well!! Thank you for your help.

I'm trying to remember if there's double sided tape or some kind of silicone used to attach the molding, but I can't.

when i use to live in FL, i would use vinyl/rubber treatment stuff that they use on boats. This kept it from drying up from the hot sun..another thing i found out is the molding around the sunroof gets bubbly when rust builds up underneath the molding...if u're gonna replace the SW, might as well get a nice aftermarket one...g/l

I was able to get the steering wheel for $50.00 but was not able to get the molding. Once I do get the molding I'll buy that stuff for the boats. Thank you for that help. I don't think I should put it on the one I have now it's already bubbling as you can see. Thanks for everybody's help. I appreciate it.
