I was wondering if any of you have had experience selling your RSX? Or for those of you who bought private sale, how did you find and decide?

I guess I'm asking b/c I had thrown up my car on CL almost 2 months ago and have only had 1 person ask about and look at the car.

Is Autotrader a better venue for our cars? Ebay maybe?

It's 03 and is perfect inside in out. 120k on chassis and engine only has 100 miles on it.

Any advice to experience is greatly appreciated.

 

If you aren't generating much interest in your RSX, it is likely priced too high. You won't be able to recover the cost of the new engine. Look at kbb and/or edmunds to get a private party value for your car with the full mileage, and then add $500 for the new engine.

Make sure you provide a detailed description of your car and include plenty of good photos. If you have any aftermarket performance components on the car, this can lower the value. With the exception of the sound system, put the car back to original configuration if you can.

Its essentially stock minus an intake and priced around blue book.

I'm going to try taking more/better pictures and put a little more time into a new description and see what happens.

I'll update this as I go. Maybe this can help someone else experiencing the same issue.
