Help with a grinding noise?
I just bought a 04 RSX from a small dealership so unfortunately the warranty I have will not cover this I don't think.
What happens is while driving highway speeds going through right turns and also sometimes over bumps at any speed there is a loud metal on metal grinding noise coming from the rear. Im not sure which side but it sounds more to the driver side. As soon as I straighten out it goes away.
It sort of goes off and one, drive 200 km and not hear it then all of a sudden it goes off every corner but lately it seems to be getting a little more consistent. I have had my mechanic whom I trust and dealt with my whole life look at the it twice but don't want to get into full diagnostic not knowing what it is. He says from what he can see it everything looks good, except my brakes are getting fairly low.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Was just guessing, but no it isn't. Another mechanic after telling him about it said it if the bearings are good then it is most likely just some rust on the edges of the rotors, so I'm going to look into that tomorrow.
I tried calling the dealership but the closest acura dealership from me is a good 6 hour drive, theres a honda fairly close that I will go to if the rotors aren't the problem.

Check these Bulletin's when you get a chance SB#10-004 SB#04-018 and SB#07-026all have to do with "Clunk, Pinging, Rattling, Squealing" for the RSX's but most are from the front to mid front of the car. Anything from changing Exhaust gaskets to changing Heat shield for the intermediate shaft. Hope this Helps
