So recently when I went to gas in, I opened my fuel normally, put gas in, and then the fuel door just wouldn't shut. I've never paid attention to what was actually present within the fuel door compartment, so I have no clue if something possibly broke off or not.

If someone could figure out what is missing and tell me the part name or whatever that be great. I'd really prefer to buy the part online and put it on myself than drive to some garage and be charged a crazy price for no reason.

 

I would go onto an OEM parts website and look at the diagram for your fuel door, see what parts are in and around there. It'l help you get a better idea of where to look for something broken.
