Hello to everyone

I am new to this site but not new to the Acura Generation, in the past I have had an Acura Integra, and now I am the proud owner of a 05 Acura TL and an 02 RSX Type S. I joined this site so that I could find out what is going on with the electrical system on the Type S, so if anyone has had similar problems with the battery dying after a new alternator and new battery then please feel free to comment. Thanks Darwin

You might want to post this in the problems and fixes section. You'll get more responses.

Its fairly odd, but not uncommon to have a brand new wet cell battery to have a dead cell. I would check terminal connections first. Make sure they're clean and tight and no corrosion or acid build up. Also check the water level in the battery. If all those check out OK, then you'll need to use a multimeter. Check voltage at both terminal and terminal connectors. You should have around 12.5-14ish volts for a good battery. If you're getting that at the terminals, but not at the terminal connector, then you have a bad connection. Also start the car up and check voltage in the same way. You should be reading around 12.9-13.5 volts. If you're not reading those voltage levels at the terminal connector, then you have an issue with the alt.
