I think it is feasible that they could come out with a new small Acura. They could even call it an Integra or RSX. However, if it has a trunk rather than a hatch, it might as well be a Civic.

The dealerships have been shown pictures of the sub-TSX. Since it is a sedan, why refer to the Integra or the RSX until the coupe version is built.

Why not? The Integra had a sedan version and the "R" in RSX was not there to signify that it was a coupe.

As a DC5 owner, I've been waiting for a smaller Acura to come back. Over the past few years, their product has gotten too big. But, I don't understand the need to delete the TSX. Just make this new RSX similar in size to the old one (maybe just a tad bigger would be ok too), then you can keep the TSX in its current segment. BMW and Audi have proven that you can be a serious luxury automaker w/ a small, entry level coupe. Hell, I'm a Honda loyalist, but that 1 Series is looking more and more appealing by the day.
And I'm really confused why sedan and coupe can't debut simultaneously. I'm much more of a coupe guy and don't know if I can hold out another 5 years to get a new car.
I'm not a big fan of dropping K24 in there either. Why not come out w/ a new engine by turbo'ing the K20Z1/3? If they don't want to spend the R/D or production money to do that, then put the K23 into it.
I don't know. I think this is Honda's big chance to come back in a big way, so let's hope they don't mess it up.

I hope they do come out with a new generation of RSXs. There have been so many rumors the past 5 years its not even funny. Until I see one, I will be doubtful.

I never understood why they axed the RSX. They're such popular cars; they look good, they run good. What was the problem?

Go back several years ago when the RSX was canceled. The economy was good, luxury cars where hot, and Acura decided to move UP market.

Then the economy crashed, along with the number of people buying expensive cars. Hence Audi selling A3, BMW selling 1-series, Mercedes soon introducing A/B class in North America.

So, Acura is returning to their roots and forgoing the plan to move up market.

If they put a potato peeler on the front, don't spoil the RSX/Integra heritage by reusing the name.

If "it" (whatever they call it) has the 6AT auto that Acura is putting into a new (other) model (with sport or economy modes, and more sophisticated shifting logic for hills, highways, and ... track? (one can hope) ...) I might be swayed from my conviction not to buy another Acura ever again. (Many reasons behind this, most of them documented in threads here.)

But if's not track-worthy (with or without upgrades) like the RSX and TSX are, forgeddaboutit.

Ok, Im just a little disappointed in the body design. I hope whatever they put under the hood will compensate.

I would buy an RSX sight unseen if it had

Coupe styling close to the previous line.
SH-AWD...that is a MUST!
Don't really care about power, as long as it is AWD.

Looking back, if only on that site, there've been rumors of a forthcoming "RSX return" for 2+ years. More to the present, an Acura 2-door super sports cars is apparently making a debut in the new Avengers movie...
