RSX 2003 Acura RSX Base(Auto) - Surges

2003 Acura RSX Base(Auto) - Surges
This car after surges on it's own many times and I have to press the brakes hard to stop it. This mainly happens immediately after starting or driving in first 2-3 minutes.
Usually after starting the idle usually is at 2000+ rpm for 1-2 minutes before dropping down to reasonable level.
The car had Spark plugs, High tension leads, O2 Sensors, Catalytic converter replaced within last 3 years. Throttle too was cleaned a year back.
Air filter too was changed 5000 miles back.
What can be the possible cause and a fix? Please advise.
