05 Acura RSX Exhaust Piping
Hey guys, I recently bought an 05 rsx and looking towards playing with it for a while. What are some good exhaust piping you'd recommend and the pricing to look out for? i prefer a more deep suttle type of noise
the Buddy club gives u great gains with their BC race header but it's loud...rs-r is a good suggestion but do a lil research...just mainly look for 2.5" piping if u just plan on going NA...otherwise I'd suggest u get Hondata and let ecu mgmt help your car run even better w/ more pwr as u add on stuff...u'll luv the higher redline...
With the HKS Hi-Power, I would recommend getting the 65mm model over the standard model. The 65mm model is a little harder to get, but its worth it for power gains as the standard Hi-Power measures at 2.25" at the B-pipe flange, necks down to 2" and 2.25" at the axle back section, thus making this exhaust (at least from pipe diameter standpoint) as restrictive or more restrictive then stock.
The RS-R ex-mag exhaust is a quiet exhaust, but it is very very very very restrictive and you'll probably end up loosing power using it. I was dyno-tuning a customer that had the basics (AEM CAI, DCRH, RS-R ex-mag) and the exhaust was so restrictive, you can hear whistling eminenting from the exhaust due to the increased levels of back pressure.
