2014 ILX clutch problem
2014 ILX clutch problem
Hi,
My wife has a 2014 ILX with a manual transmission. It’s the 2.4 engine (iirc).
Two months ago her clutch started making a noise when being engaged and we had it replaced. I forget what was gone but it was a bearing-like part within the clutch.
Yes, I’ll fully admit I don’t know very much at all about clutches and their part names. Lol
She felt that after being fixed thst the clutch seemed a bit spongy in gear 2 than before but we just put that off to the fact that it was new.
The other day I thought there was a shifting issue with gear 6 but then thought maybe it was just my imagination as there was no issue a moment later.
But today she went out and gears 2, 4, 6 and reverse will not engage — it’s as if the car is still in neutral.
The weird party? We can get gears 1, 3 and 5 to engage.
Obviously we’ll be calling the garage tomorrow (the work was done by a reputable garage whom we know and trust).
But does anyone have any ideas? I can’t get under the car to look at anything. The clutch fuse was fine.
Thanks!
