Question 2013-2014 Eibach Pro-Kit Help!?

Hello all,

I just ordered the Eibach Pro-Kit (#4088.140) for my '13 ILX & was wondering if anybody that ordered this same kit needed other parts to make it fit. I'm reading something about an alignment kit may be needed? Everything is OEM on the car except the wheels - I have 18's on. I'd really appreciate some feedback on some experiences.

Much appreciated!

Thank you bro - I guess I'll see if anything is needed after installation. Just wanted to avoid any complications or save time & have all the parts ready to go.

right, however, a modest drop will not need any special control arms or special alignment parts.
it's only when you drop the car to the extreme that you may need the extra parts...but even then, i'd be cautious of swapping OEM control arms for aftermarket ones

You dont need anything. You will need to disconnect the rear swaybar from the body to crate the clearance you need get the rear springs out. Don't undo the links unless you plan on changing them. Since you are doing the springs and going through the work, a cheap and good upgrade to do is the 19mm civic si rear sway bar.

Much love for the info - appreciate it! In regards to the sway bar, what would this assist with if you don't mind informing me?

so, the ultimate goal in handling is to provide a neutral bias...meaning; not too much understeer and not too much oversteer.

from the factory; FWD vehicles will understeer. it's just the nature of FWD vehicles. meaning in a turn, your car will always want to go straight.
by adding a thicker rear sway bar, you're counter-acting the natural understeer bias and will make the car oversteer on certain conditions. the condition is called "lift off oversteer"
which means; when you give it the beans in a corner and suddenly lift off the gas, the rear end will come-around, like a RWD car.

with a thicker rear sway bar, the car will also be more flat, instead of having body roll in a turn.
