Hello guys, I just bought a 2015 Acura ILX (I think it is a base package because it doesn't have navigation?). I tried to connect my androids phone and seem like the car could not find the Bluetooth from my phone. Is it because of Android and I have to get another phone (iphone?)

And then I found this right here on Ebay, I wonder if you plug this into the USB (AUX), will it work through my Android Phone?

instead of buying something, figure out whats wrong with your bluetooth first.
clear the car's bluetooth, then clear your phones bluetooth and try to pair again.

 

What kind of phone do you have?

My Galaxy S7 has difficulty connecting at times, but deleting the phone from my history on the Bluetooth and the carlink from my phone and doing the pairing process all over again always seems to do it.

 

bluetooth still isnt great, yet.

with the new standards of bluetooth 5.0 we should see increased benefits, going forward...
but as of now, whatever version bluetooth we're on, still has spotty and sometimes unreliable connection.
just nature of the beast with bluetooth technology right now.

 

UPDATE: The problem has been fixed. All I need to do is delete the previous phone in the system and add my new phone in. Thank you guys!
