Audio upgrade

I am going to be ordering my sub and speakers for the rear deck on my ILX 2016 w/ Tech package. My question is, Acura states that the speakers on the rear deck are 8cm which converts to 3.14 inches. Would 3 1/2 drop in just fine? Thanks.

8cm radius or diameter? I can definitely say that it is not 3 inches in width. If anything it's 6. Do a quick search around the forums, I remember seeing a guy replace all speakers in the ILX. I think it was a 5.25". I might be wrong.

The rear deck speakers are 3.14 inches radius. Its a very small hole, I will need to cut to fit in 3 1/2 but I do not want to do any cutting, which I have been looking for 3" inch speakers instead.

I know this is a bit late, but did you ever figure this out. I am willing to bet the 3.14" radius it the size of the rear hole drop (i.e. bottom) not the size of the woofer or front speaker size.
