7443 dual function rear turn/running lights?

I'm thinking about putting a pair of 7443 amber/red or red/red LEDs in rear turn signals and make them work as running tail lights (dim mode) and turn signals (bright mode). Is is doable? Anyone tried it before?
This is the wiring diagram I found on the net which I will follow

Do you have the color codes for tail lights wiring? I want to tap the dim wires from 7443 rear turn signals to tail light positive wires.

They don't make an LED decoder for 7443?

I'm not so sure on the ILX's wiring pattern, all I know I that every store is always out of 7443 bulbs...

My my brake light went out a few months ago, I was running around for hours looking for a bulb...

Problem. The turn signal sockets have 4 taps which are not squared like standard 7440/7443 sockets. No way I can fit a 7443 socket in. So for now I just change the bulb to LED with load resistor. I'll try to modify the 7443 socket later.
