If you're not familiar the SE is a base ILX with some cosmetic upgrades. There were some features that I didn't realize were not included with this car and have located parts from a donor vehicle but need to know if it will work theoretically before risking the money.

So I was wondering...

What additional parts/wiring are required besides the upper screen and lower receiver to have them fully functioning in this car? Initially, I thought I could get over the tiny screen but its beginning to weigh on me already, especially when using the camera backing up at night.

Similarly, are there any additional parts/wiring required to swap in the sunroof control switch with home link to get it to all working?

Did you find out any information at another site? I have a similar question and am able to get parts from a recent write off and was wondering if it was doable and if worth my while.

I had no luck. I got pictures from eBay and compared the backs of the 2 types of receiver/screen combos and there are multiple additional connections on the GPS combination unit.

The kick in the pants is that my local Acura dealer wants an absolutely ridiculous $4k to do the conversion. I could have something much better custom built for less than that.

 

The dealer is simply adding up the cost of all the various parts that would need to be replaced. If you really want the higher trim version of this car, it would be cheaper to sell your car and buy that particular trim.
