Yes I did

I traded my ILX 6mt in for a brand new 2012 TSX ASPEC 6mt. I was having trouble with my back off and on and just found the TSX a little easier to get in and out of. Took a couple of thousand dollar hit on the ILX but as I got a good deal on the ILX in the first place it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

I did get a good deal on the TSX, $5000 off, with the following thrown in.

Wheel locks, trunk tray, touch up paint, the TSX SE wheels with Michelin Pilot Alpin snow tires mounted as in my pics and of course the ASPEC wheels with Yokahama Advent Sport max performance tires as you can see in the great photo of ttk5`s ASPEC TSX.

I hope ttk5 doesn`t me using his pic from his for sale thread. It is the only good photo I could find with the ASPEC wheels and tires on a BWP.

The ILX is a great car and it was with some reluctance I made the change and a few dollars out of our pocket. I will be continuing to follow the progress in the ILX thread.

Only have a few hundred kilometers on it but very nice, don't like the rev hang though. Going to take some getting used to.

Terry, congratulations on picking up an absolutely beautiful TSX. I love the white on black color combination, and if I'm not mistaken, I think the A-Spec equipment is exclusive to Canada so I've never seen such a car. Very, very nice looking ride. In my few experiences with the TSX I've also found it to be a little more roomy and a little more quiet. Hope your ownership experience is rewarding. Can't go wrong with a tried and true TSX. Thanks for sharing the pics, and I hope you stick around the ILX forum from time to time.

Thank you.

The difference between the SE and the ASPEC is the standard 18" special mags with Yokohama Advent Sport maximum performance tires as ttk5's pic.

I have yet to drive it with those mounted as I also got the SE 17" wheels with Michelin Pilot Alpin snow tires mounted included in the deal. Should have them put on in about 6 weeks or so.

I hope I will love it as much as the ILX.

Thanks Tyson. The ASPEC in Canada has 18" special wheels with Yokohama Advent Sport max performance tires standard and ASPeC badges which differentiate it from the US Special Edition. Only 200 made for Canada.

Yes it has a little more room and is quieter. I was surprised I could get in and out easier in the TSX as there is not that much size difference. When I was climbing in and out at the showroom back and forth, back and forth, Laurel said she could see that it was easier for me before I even said anything.

Don't worry I will be watching and commenting on the ILX forum. I think it is a great little ca

Christopher, where are you? They are pretty rare up here, only 200 ASPECs made.

I love the way you photograph your car (the second pic of your car and the same one you used on your avatar). Care to share any tips to make it look that way for us camera novices?

Congrats on the new car!

Thank you. I used my Canon 7D with my Canon 10-22mm lens. I shoot in raw and process with the Digital Photo Professional and add a little HDR which is included with this program just to give a little different look.
