Whistling Sunroof While Closed
Whistling Sunroof While Closed
Finally got a nice spout of weather and opened up the sunroof on the cruise home. Once I closed the sunroof and went out the next day I noticed that the sunroof was now whistling when going over 60+kph (35mph). Sounds like there is a gap or something in the weather stripping... but couldn't tell by looking at it.
Has anyone else seen or know of this problem, and possibly know a fix?

I haven't experienced this on my ILX, but have on other vehicles. Check first to make sure nothing is interfering with the weatherstripping seal, or in the track. If everything looks OK, then it's likely the glass somehow became misaligned and needs to be adjusted back to OEM spec. Warranty will cover it.
I don't have and ILX and if it has an auto open/close feature for the sunroof. My TSX doesn't have auto open/close and on a few occasions did not close the sunroof completely and caused the same sound. I usually pop it fully up/down if the sound occurs and this stops the sound.
If not, dealership time.
