Tiny tinting issue

So I just got my 2016 ILX tinted and they seem to have done a good job however when I looked underneath the right passenger tweeter there is a tiny tear in the door trim. I am angry about this. Is there way to fix this with a simple kit? Also I've read threads about The tweeter cover coming off after tinting the windows. It's not coming off easy but it is slightly more loose than before. I was able to push it back in to place. This is the only gripe I have about tinting the ILX.

ilx design malfunction, i have the same problem so i guess its not the tinters fault but on acura. I think imma stick with tinting from the dealer and blame them next time for tweezers being like that.

Yeah unfortunately it seems like a design issue since I'm not the only one with the passenger side tweeter cover loosening issue. But that torn upholstery underneath the tweeter, is it leather or vinyl? I'm new to acura sorry. I may just go to a auto upholstery shop in Hawaii to fix that after my year in Korea since I don't want to mess things up myself.

It's an ILX, likely Vinyl not leather..

Also if the tint people scratched your car, you should bring it up to their attention

Why? They'll deny ever doing any damage. If you don't have before pictures, you're wasting your time. A friend of mine just had his wife's Lexus ES350 taken to the tint shop- they literally ripped a piece of exterior chrome trim off. He owned the car for 1 day before taking it to them and the car was flawless- they said it was his doing

Yep they denied alright. I was fighting with them and told me it was acura's fault for faulty design. They told me to call acura about the faulty tweeter piece and the scratch was already there. I call total bullshit!!

For what it's worth, our 2016 doesn't have the scratch/tear. I'd be surprised if it got worse though. I don't blame you for being a little pissed off though. A good dealership would just fix it to keep a customer happy. It's not like your going to notice every scratch before you drive it off the lot.

Hard to prove either way, but it's likely the tinters. The area is vinyl so any vinyl repair kit should do the job. Definitely NOT a warranty claim so no sense (IMO) spinning your wheels there.

I don't really have difficulty with my tweeter pods, but if I did, I'd probably just 'fix' it myself by making the fit tighter or a dab of hot glue. [shrug] Having said that, loosening pods are a warranty issue so it's perfectly acceptable to visit the dealer for that issue.

Thanks, I'll probably use a vinyl repair kit. Maybe the no-heat ones? Any recommendations? If the tweeter cover falls off by itself then I'm taking it to the dealer.
