Does anyone with a 2016 model know if you can use siri hands free via the steering wheel control? I think I remember the sales guy mentioning it but I have yet to get it to work. All I get when I press the steering wheel control is dial by number or name.

 

Yes, works very well. Make sure your using the correct button and you have to press and hold the button for 2 or 3 seconds before Siri starts.

 

Still can't get it to work. Are you talking about the steering wheel button or the home button on the Iphone? It works fine via the phone but does not work through steering wheel button

Yeah it works surprisingly well actually.

You have to wait a few seconds for the radio to switch off, and Siri to activate, many 3-5 seconds... but after your prompted to speak; it works smoothly.

 

It might be worth checking that the OP has Siri enabled in the lock screen. Not sure if this affects things, but it can't hurt to check.

 

Ohh yeah, make sure its activated on your phone.


In my case it wasn't at first, so when i pressed the "Siri" button on the steering wheel, it prompted me that my phone hadn't been set up yet.

One flip of a switch in my phones settings, and it was working perfectly.
