So I recently got a 2.4 ILX Manual. I have my iPod hooked up and was curious if there's a faster way to scroll through songs on the menu.

Like by alphabet or something. With 1000+ songs trying to scroll down to songs that start with like M is a pain in the a**, constantly turning that wheel.

Also I see we have a texting feature in the car. I have an iPhone 5 but it says it's not compatible. Is there a list of phones that are? Currently due for an upgrade and it would be cool to get one that's capable.

 

^^ I agree about the song search in the ILX. My 2012 TL and 2012 RDX (as my current ILX) were the same. I use the USB stick and I have all these folders and agree, scrolling is such a pain...I was hoping that by group all my singers by folder M (for those starting with M) would allow me to at least have only the alphabet folders, then click that folder and a sub folder would appear, but nooooo.

There are SO many things stupid about the stereo integration that whoever designed it should be winning an award for being mentally slow....I hate that when you have the playback on random and that you select the song just above or below turns the random feature off and then have to reactivate it.

Also, if I am playing an artist who's name starts with an R, and would like to select one that starts with an M, I have to starts scrolling from the A's and work my way down....and why when you reverse and go Y - Z - A - B etc.

Hard to explain and I know I did a poor job but was at the dealer one day and showed the guys there what I meant and all agreed that this was poorly developed but as we all know, unless lives are at risk, nothing will ever get done, including noise in suspensions or weird shifting tranny.

 

Also there is no actual play or pause buttons WTF? Yea, you don't 100% NEED them, but they would be very useful. I guees they were trying to save production cash, but really? I mean how many people really need AM or radio in general now? if you're going to include that, please include a play/pause button. Or someone make me feel dumb and show me this ghost button please.

 

As a HUGE music fan, i find this pretty annoying to use Ipod. i usually just end up playing an album in the Ipod. its too difficult/ possibly unsafe to scroll/ dig through while actually driving
