Actually.. 9th Gen Civic guys are fitting 9" widths @ 18" and 17" without rolls or shaving (depending on offset obviously)..
Right now I am personally between the TE37SL Pressed Graphite 17x9 +22
Or
VOLK G25 (Black/Silver) 18x8.5 +44 (which is for sure no roll, no cut, drop and no problem)
The SEMA car was 19x8.5 +45 and they actually used 5mm spacers in the front and 7mm in the back. I talked to Evasive Motorsports and by looking at it their drop was pretty mild too..
I am pretty convinced I want either O.Z., Work, or Volk .. from least to greatest level of desire. From what I understand the ILX is a tad bit wider than the Civic, that might mean I can fit a 17x9 in there with an aggressive offset and a mild stretch. I am not dropping past 2" so I am just calculating and hoping..
If you decide to try a to go stanced.. 19 is probably a bit too big, I'd go 18 for the safety of your fenders, tires, ect.
*** Looking at it too if you got those CV3s in 19x8.5 and close to a 40/45 offset you could probably get away with murder on a 215 or MAYBE even a 225 tire.. completely dependent on how low you drop it.

* Work wheels are on my list too. I saw a Scion TC at my school with those wheels, I never thought a scion could look so gooood

Glad I am not the only one whose gonna be shamed for being a "boy racer" lol.. I just like a modded car better than a stock one.. Unless its a Prius, then I don't want it either way lol
But yeah man, if evasive can put a 19x8.5 and a drop you can.. The SEMA car was super flush for what would be a daily driver. You could just mimic their setup or aim to go similar

Diagram wise it looks like it's somewhere in the bottom of the cabin.. maybe under the driver's seat.. I know that sounds unlikely but you can tell it looks like they tried to hide it so people couldn't get to it.
So the first major mod to my car is going to be completed this next week. I love hip-hop music and I love bass (especially really low notes ranging around 30 Hz). I got this custom box it's 2 Cubic ft., port is tuned to 32 Hz for a
Sundown 10" sub. More than enough bass for a stock sound system!
Also got a processor instead of a line-output converter.

Sound deadener wil be coming next week. I want to listen to it without it and notice the difference after the trunk is sound deadened but it's a must because i dont want my trunk shaking erratically like most cars do.

I found the amp. Seems like its powering all speakers not just the woofer. I assumed it would be running off the head unit and the sub by a small amp. It's one the drivers side under the steering wheel between the gas and brake petals.
MUAHAHHA THEY SHOULD CALL ME OBI WAN!
Looking good so far though.. I also have a love for Hip-Hop.. just not been digging a lot of the mainstream stuff on radio. Ignorance breeding really.
AGREED.
It's a car, it's meant to drive! You luckily picked a brand who has a solid track record at making motors. I am averaging over 2,100/month

Nothing major (rims & drop) is gonna happen to my car until June/July. I have fogs and 6000K bulbs coming in this week but that's it for a while probably. I keep seeing ilx's on the net that serve as inspiration for me so I thought I'd post pics here.
These are not my cars
Simple rack, looks clean. Owner's instagram: tacowolf_bandit

Car has 17 x 7 enkei rims on stock Michellin tires, I believed it's dropped on H&R Springs. Looks pretty sweet. Owner's instagram: @erickmdickerson

I'll post more as I find good ones.

I just joined Instagram a few weeks ago and I was amazed how many people are on there posting car stuff who I never hear from on forums. When I search for #ILX there are over 1,500 pictures posted by people. One example I just randomly pulled up.

I trolled around on Instagram and actuall found this person who had a black ILX with a black grille and he did the under lip of the stock bumper red. I asked him to join the forum, that was interesting and creative.
That's nice to hear that there is a modding community out there. Interesting that they wouldn't join the forums, you'd think that with the proliferation of the internets, people would be on these things.
It makes you wonder if this is an indication that the 'forum model' is broken? Since forums generally allow all to freely join, you have to admit, it makes it hard to weed out trouble makers. If you use a different community where membership is more tightly controlled, perhaps owners can discuss things without constantly having discussions 'derailed?'
Colin! Where have you been!? I agree that perhaps other social mediums have deprived forums of their appeal, but the point remains that you can't generally foster discussions or a learning environment in anything other than a forum.

I've been on automotive forums since the earliest days of the Internet such as on CompuServe. Back then, community guidelines generally suggested that you wouldn't say anything on a forum that you wouldn't also say in person. If somebody stepped way out of line, moderators intervened to help demonstrate what acceptable community behavior was. These days, if somebody tries to moderate a post, people start screaming "censorship!".
This is not to say that dissenting opinions shouldn't be welcome. Only that we don't need the same people, with the same dissenting opinion, posting their thoughts in every single thread. Acurazine is very lightly moderated so after a while posts get very, very repetitive.
This is why I believe that forums are actually driving people to other social media outlets. I'm not 100% sure this is a good thing but it does seem to be a trend.
I've been around LOL. You got somewhat the gist of what I was saying, but not all of it. What I was trying to say is that perhaps forums themselves have deprived themselves of their own appeal.

I think forums are just less convenient to access, upload, post, etc. Seems like forums are the only piece of online media that really hasn't evolved. I mean say with twitter or instagram for example. It's all easily accessed from a mobile device. Take a pic and easily upload it with the touch of a button. With a forum you have to host the pic, upload, then post it. I think if forums were easier to access from a mobile device more people would use it.
But that's only part of the problem. People are lazy, they like things to be one click and you're done. Forums in general require a little more work to post, less than 5 minutes of work, but work nonetheless.
I really think the whole forum model needs an overhaul.

Back on topic, I installed my HID's and Yellow Fogs. Fogs are Luminics and I did the H9 conversion. BOY ARE THEY YELLOW! It looks much more aggressive from the front. I'll take some shots tonight with a better camera hopefully.
Left are Luminics and right are stock. Pic doesnt do justice but I turned HDR on the iPhone and it brought the contrast out more.

But these $30 luminics h9 bulbs really do the job well. I would recommend these fogs to anyone look for the same style setup
Btw I forgot to mention I switched out the hids for Morimoto 6000k.
