need some help/advice
so last summer my air blew kinda cold for a day or two then stopped working and blew out hot air. the condenser and compressor both still came on and I could feel a temperature change from all the vents when adjusting the temperature. I never took it in to get it recharged and just dealt with the heat. fast-forward it's now March and I was planning to take it to get recharged but when I was cleaning my car I accidentally pushed the AC button and I didn't hear anything kick on. so I took a look under the hood and sure enough the fan and compressor are not turning on. Im wondering if it could be completely empty so the system isn't turning on at all? not sure if that's even a possibility I get mixed answers when I try to Google it. I'm not sure if it could be a relay or a fuse I tried to look up the AC relay and fuse location in the user manual and I can't find it maybe I just don't understand the abbreviations/just stupid but I'll attach some photos. I'm really hoping it's not something more serious like the compressor being broken. I read in one of the forums on here about jump starting the compressor and my question is do you have to do that before you get your AC recharged or is that something you would do after you got it recharged if the compressor is still not turning on. thank you so much for your help for in advance I'm just trying to save some money. I live in a pretty small town and a lot of the shops are backed up and overpriced so I highly doubt they would let me come in just to check my pressure and the voltage without charging me.
Thank you for replying I'm scared to use those considering I'm not 100% sure if it's low but very well could be I don't think the person that had the car before me ever charged it or had to. I have. 2013 ilx premium 2.0L if I were to use it how much of the can do you put in?
