Hello all. Haven't really posted on here so figured I would start with my build. I have had a 2013 Acura ILX 2.4L just shy of 2 years. I love the vehicle and think this trim in particular is an overlooked secret that gets no love by the professional car community. My experience is people love the car, usually don't know what it is, and stop to ask about it everywhere I go.
Modifications:
D2 Racing RS Coilovers
Megan rear camber arms
18 x 9.5 XXR 531s in platinum finish
AEM Cold Air Intake
Magnaflow custom axle-back exhaust
Gloss black roof wrapped by Identity Design in Jacksonville, FL
debadged rear "ILX"
Plastidipped grill and rear "A" badge
20% tint all the way around
It's pretty basic for now. I am very familiar with these vehicles and worked for Acura for a few years until recently. I also helped build a Comptech SC'ed 13 SI for a buddy and may go that route soon on this car. He is pushing 300 at the wheels with only 7 lbs of boost, these cars are quite capable. I just moved to the bay area from Jacksonville FL and would love to meet some local Acura owners.
Nice. The gloss black roof looks great on the white ILX's. I'm a fan of meshy type wheels on this car. And I just generally like chrome /silver type finishes. Good job man.
Sweet man! About time some more people are thinking of going big with the 2.4, most of the time people are only talking about wind noises, sales numbers and a bunch of other boring shit on here. Check out my build thread on the next page if you want to see the CT-E SC on an ILX, same color as yours as well. You probably already do, but if not check out the 9th Gen forum for a ton of forced induction and performance upgrade threads with some really good info
What are the specs of the tires and camber angles? I plan on running a set of 18x9.5 wheels, but with a 255/35/18 tire.
Camber is -2 in the front, -5.5 in the back. I'm pretty low and have no clearance issues through full travel. Didn't want to touch the fenders but with a little roll and pull could likely get the same camber as the front on the rear. This is a pretty aggressive stretch I think they are 215 40 18s but I could be wrong.
It's a fun setup for now, car still maintains a lot of drivability.
looking good, how does the aem intake with custom exhaust sound?
The AEM intake made a huge difference, so loud and deep, its a different car and would do that mod for sound alone. The axleback was given to me from a previous customer when I worked at Acura, These cars are so restrictive from the cats and resonators that the muffler doesn't really do much, barely noticed a difference. If you are looking for a performance gain the "downpipe" as they are being called on these cars from RV6 if you want to keep a cat or fullrace if you don't need a cat make a huge difference and change the sound a lot.

Ha this is my buddy's Ferrari, partly included to make my car look better and partly my awful picture taking skills.

I can't wait to see your setup, I haven't seen the CT on an ILX yet. These cars really do have some awesome capabilities for modding and I love the ILX compared to the SI. The styling and interior are so much nicer.
Thanks for all the love guys. I will keep you updated on the progression.
cool. Yea I'm mainly interested in intake and possibly catback purely for sound. Trying to make the vtec crossover sound louder. I removed the resonator/silencer in the fender well and that helped a little. Removing the silencer made 1000-5000rpm range slightly quieter and less induction noise but at 5000rpm or so, you can hear the crossover change better. I like it so far
