MT: Gear shifting

Hi guys. After a bit of research I figured I'd start a new thread because I can't find anyone who seems to have the same (problem?) as I have.

On my 2014 ILX 2.4 MT, I used to LOVE how fluid shifting gears was. It was like a knife through butter and every gear was very precise. With time however, shifting gears has become less obvious: When I shift from 1 to 2, the shifter always gets "stuck" in the perpendicular center track (kinda hard to explain but the crossroads to go towards higher gears). 2 to 3 is good, 3 to 4 as well, but 4 to 5 is systematically a pain and 5 to 6 is hit-and-miss.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is it possible that the specific way I drive has worn the transmission and that's what makes a bit sluggish?

Any insight is warmly welcome.

5 to 6 is never great if you're anything under 3000 rpms, and especially if you lay off the gas pedal when you shift. I try to get on it a bit more on that shift and it's smooth every time. 1 to 2 is similar, the higher the rpms the better it shifts. These higher compression engines shift best above 3K, that's my 2 cents after 8 months of driving. Try a day of not shifting below 3K and see what you think

I hit that 7k red line daily when shifting, if you're not used to shifting at such high revs it feels weird and takes awhile to get used to
