Lovin' it !

2016 ILX Tech Plus A-Spec

Just did 2nd oil / filter change and multi point inspection

Car's great.....especially like the ergonomics....from driver's seat...every is pretty well just right on the dash

Paddle shits, used from time to time are fun !

Car feels solid....only thing killing enjoyment is:

Traffic
Potholes
Road construction

I've just hit 10,000 km.

Had a 2005 TL.....finally the transmission gave out ....suddenly at about 145,000 km.....car was always well dealer maintained....and not driven roughly.

Was planning to get an ILX in 2016....but no choice.....picked mine up at the end of May 2015.

Reviews have been very good on-line.....except for that nauseating " engineer" who did the review on Consumer Report...... talked like an idiot !

Have fun !

Chuck.

Yeah, I'm loving my 2016 ILX Tech Plus Package as well. In all honesty, I wish I would have went for the A-Spec version, but oh well. At that time I was thinking I'll do the upgrades I want myself, but once you're already paying for your car and you get hit by other curvballs in your life, you just keep pushing those upgrades back and back.

Either way, it doesn't matter if you switch out your oil every 5000 km, but I feel like that might be too soon. Your car will tell you when you change the oil. I did my first oil change prematurely at 8600 miles when it just went from 30% to 20%. And my second oil change at 17000, when the B1 maintenance minder came up. That's 13840 km and 27359 km respectively.

Not sure how much service is in your area, but in California my first service cost $96.98 and second service $113.42, 70-80% of the price being labor only. So far total maintenance service cost was $210.40.

Yes, that sounds totally reasonable, that that's what I was expecting first time I brought in my car. I was a bit surprised they charged around $100. Some guys on here said it depends on the location how much you'll end up paying.

On the other hand, my dealership has been extremely helpful with any type of service work. I had a broken screw in the trunk lid body where I could hear a screw rolling around under the body of the trunk lid, and I could lift off the body from the door itself. I took it in, they replaced it at no cost to me. Same goes for fixing my vibrating door when playing music loud. They didn't question why I'm listening to my music so loud with a woofer, they just went in and fixed it with no cost to me. So in that sense I've been satisfied. I know the car is under warranty, but a lot of dealers make a big deal about doing free work even under warranty. I had this experience with my honda, which happens to be the dealership right next to the acura dealership where I live.
