I would say the majority of the days - if i'm driving in city/suburbs/out of the city, my map only displays 30% of the streets at any given time. Its' really frustrating.

I went to the service guys and they just brushed it off as a GPS reception issue.
AFAIK there isn't any sort of "detail" setting to show more street names. You can try zooming in more, which may show more street names due to having more space.
It shows a different group of names for the same area on different days, places me on adjacent roads, and will finish search names for you that you don't want. Tech spanks them hard.
