So I just picked up my 2016 model a couple of days ago and today I noticed that the light above the back seat doesn't come on when I open the doors. So I switched it from "Off" to "On" and it wouldn't come on. I messed around opening and closing all of the doors and still nothing. Anyone else having this issue?

 

Make sure that the front interior light switch is "on". If the front interior light switch is off, the rear dome light does not work whether you put it on or off.

 

Haha, thanks! I actually figured this out last night. I was getting ready to get out of my car and noticed the lights above the front didn't come on when I opened my door, so I moved the switch and bam! The rear came on as well.

 

No lie I had the same thing happen to my '16 for like the first week too.

I kept thinking "wow that sucks, already a burnt out bulb..." Till I wondered why there were 'two' sliders to open the moon roof... and bam.

problem solved.
