We test drove another ILX Hybrid yesterday and ran into a problem with the USB thumbdrives. We tried a Lexar 1G, Lexar 4G and Patriot 32G and both ILXs and both TSXs we tried them in stated they were unsupported. All are formatted with a FAT filesystem and work in all other cars we've test drove (Lexus HS250h, CT200h, Toyota Camry and Prius, Honda Civic Hybrid) and all computers we've tried. Has anyone run into this problem and found a cause and solution?

 

Update - I tried a few more thumbdrives - an 4-5 year old 1G Lexar and a 3-4 year old 2G Lexar and both worked correctly. So it appears there are only certain brands/types of thumbdrives that the ILX recognizes. The local Acura guys had heard ones with security features don't work but only one of the first three that failed to work had any kind of security device/software.
