ILX Spring Options
I haven't lowered mine yet, but I'll be raising them a wee bit, anyways. Just for a little farther site down the road, and careful enough not to be offensive to oncoming traffic and rear-view/side-view mirrors. All that to say that when it is lowered, it won't be a problem.

Just had my S-tech springs installed. Front alignment looks good, definitely negative camber going on in the back that's negative 1-2 degrees; very noticeable and will probably need to be addressed. Will report back on driving impressions!
Have some pictures on my iphone that I will upload and post later. In regards to the negative camber, perhaps its OCD or something but I don't like the idea having something that is not in "spec." It appears the Civic Si has adjustable rear camber arms that the ILX can also use. I'm also wondering if the hybrid suspension is significantly different from the gas models.
So....I finally got around to installing the Eibach Pro-kit, and needless to say, it fit with no problems. Installation was pretty easy, except for switching the springs from the struts which I had to take to a local shop to get that done ($20).
Aesthetics: The ILX looks significantly lower, I'm able to fit approximately 1 1/2 fingers in front and 2 fingers in the rear (prior to install, I was able to get 3 1/2 in front and 4 in the rear). Looks a lot more aggressive and gets rid of the 4x4 look.
Driving impressions: Now, for the 'bread and butter' of this modification. Coming from previous cars that include several BMW's, Mini's and a GTI, I was missing that sporty/aggressive handling characteristic in the ILX (I love everything about the car, but the handling in this car was a real let-down IMHO). After the install, the ILX is a totally different car. The handling is aggressive, yet it still eats-up the bumps like the stock springs (no bouncy or jerky feeling at all). It also complements the 18" wheels and 215/45/18 tires with a smoother ride over bumps than the stock springs did. Minimal body-roll on cornering. The ILX's characteristics have changed so much that even the 2.4L engine feels much more responsive on acceleration. Braking is also much improved.
First time spring modification for me, and hands down, the best modification one can do for less than $200.
I'll post pics as soon as I get to wash the car.

Here you go! Eibach Pro-Kit on the ILX.

Note that I have 20mm wheel spacers installed in the rear; 15mm spacers for the front have already been ordered and on their way. At +48 offset, the wheels had the appearance of being tucked inside the wheel well. With the wheel spacers, it's just about flush and gives it that aggressive stance.

And a before shot!

I like that all of you have lowered your cars and are personalizing them, but I have to tell you its making me really anticipate seeing Coilovers on an ILX! This car is going to look great tucking tire and in some case even tucking some wheel
My prediction is no one that buys coilovers will go low enough to tuck wheel... Im only an inch away from tire so it wont be hard to tuck tire. I may go coilovers before wheels because Im driving around way too quick and being low would stop that. hahaha
Very nice!!
I'm still waiting for someone to have that look that just makes your mouth drop.
Closest one to what i'm aspiring for is probably sumo's ilx with the Volks.
Even still i'd like to see someone with a slightly more aggressive offset or width and drop, but i guess i can't complain too much since i don't have wheels or a drop....yet. By spring is my goal for coilovers and a nice set of wheels. Most likely Work Wheels, seem the easiest to find a good deal on. Maybe Gram Lights but still window shopping.

Matters what kind of spacers. I dont suggest asking questions like that here. Google would probably turn up some good search results.
Best answer youll find here is the right spacers wont matter how aggressive you drive.

I suggest spacers that require using new extended bolts. You can track those all day.
Spacers that have bolts attached work well too and can be tracked on say an ilx but I wouldnt drift or rally with them.
Spacers that are literally just a piece of metal to push the wheels out are a no no unless you do as I first said amd replace your bolts with extended bolts so you can maintain the same amount of threading holding the lug on the bolt. The more the better.

then you will se tucked wheel
You'll need at least a 5mm spacer for them to fit over the brake calipers in the front.

our calipers are a touch bigger then those of the civic SI I believe.
Also, the 08 civic SI wheels concave in a touch, where the ILX wheels are pretty flat.
Anyways do it up. Once I had the spacers on there and got the wheels on I thought it looked pretty good.
