Thanks for the upload pickler. How did the leather look, was it wrinkled badly like in the pics I posted last week in the forum? Also can anyone tell if these are HIDs they dont look similar to the lights in my 06 TSX.
Thanks
Thanks

They gave a quick peek at the ILX on Motorweek this past weekend. It looked better on Motorweek than it did on Acura's own website. Hell, pickler's pics look better than that blue one on Acura's website. This leaves me wondering which gives the truest impression of what this car really looks like. Ah well, won't have to wait too long, I guess.

[QUOTE=anticd70;13585279] Also can anyone tell if these are HIDs they dont look similar to the lights in my 06 TSX.
When I brought my TL in for service at Glendale Acura today a district manager happen to be roaming around the dealer being extra friendly with everyone and I asked him if ALL ILX trims would have HID's and his response was "of course, not including HID's on all ILX's would be the equivalent of dressing a man in a Armani suit with Payless footwear". I, as well as everyone around me started laughing but he was totally serious and not being sarcastic nor joking.

lol not funny though considering how on the CSX and the TSX it's an option.

Acura should give Canada the same treatment we get here in the USA. HIDs are standard on ALL models across the board. IDK why there's small differentiation within the N. American market.

The LED drl's were only on the concept car. They were only there for looks. i, too was sadddened by lack of LED drls. I thought it looked good on the concept.
not sure if he really knows though cuz the new RDX does not have HID on the base model. something that a lot of people were about since one of the things acura was known for was HID across all trims/models. i'm waiting for official word

salespeople aren't the best sources of info in my experience. We tend to know things sooner being on forums like this. I'll bet HID's are part of the tech package.

I think until they mate this car with the Earth Dreams engines it may suffer. Afterall there are some non-hybrids that get better gas mileage than the ILX hybrid. I think they should have waited til next year to bring this car out so they could introduce it with Earth Dreams. You only get one chance to make a first impression with a new car.

Not sure if you are busting my chops or have not heard about Earth Dreams.
Here is a new statement from Honda from the Geneva show.

Put the 2.0L hybrid in this car and I bet it would be hard to keep on the lot.

They are a little late though and playing catch up. Not a good position to be in. Let's hope these new powertrains are worth the wait. We'll see when the 13 Accord comes out. I'd expect the new TSX/TL will have an ED engine too. Maybe a hybrid option.
