Hello guys i have an Acura ILX 2017 with just under 70k miles, I have maintained my ride very well, oil changes every 5K miles and regular maintenance. Yesterday I was headed to college and saw a real baddie in a Honda Civic driving really fast ofc my testosterone made a huge leap and I decided to race her just have fun. We stopped at the light and I switched my car in sports mode and as soon as the light turned green I slammed on the accelerator. This time however my car decided to do a weird jerk and 1 sec later it got stuck in a gear and the speedtomer showed the speed being stuck on 40 no matter how much I pressed the accelerator it would not speed up. I also saw the check engine start blinking. This made my raging bull turn very soft as I began to think of the money I would have to spend to get this fixed. I pulled my car to the side turned it off and it turned back on just fine. The light also went away. I drove it all day yesterday and no loss of power or switching gears. If I go in sports mode it doesn't do the same thing again and drives just fine. Im not sure if im fine would really like hear yalls opinion.
