ELS Stereo/Navigation Randomly Restarting?

So in the last few days while listening to Pandora in my 2016 ILX, my entire stereo/navigation has randomly restarted, like the stereo itself crashed and rebooted. It seems to only happen while listening to Pandora, and has happened twice in about 4-5 days. I was curious if anyone has experienced the same thing?

I also noticed that my Pandora channels are never in the same order, it I leave on say channel 10, when I come back and start the car up, channel 10 is now channel 2 and all my stations are out of order. The entire Pandora experience on the ELS system is complete crap IMO.

Any info is appreciated though. Curious if there was a software update or something that happened recently because in the 8 months I have owned the vehicle, I have never had these issues until very recently.

What year is yours?

And I think I found the issue. Already have a call into my dealer about it.

For what it's worth, the Wife has also noticed this happening in the '16 Premium as well. Figures as they probably use a similar OS/Interface with the dual screens.

Happens with Pandora, causes the entire radio to crash randomly. Odd she's only reported this happening in the last week or so (not that we use Pandora all that often, but you'd think bugs like this would be noticed earlier. Unless Acura did an OTA update somehow)

I do use the Pandora option on the stereo, although, most of the time I end up using just the Bluetooth option with pandora running on my phone itself. I can still skip and do everything besides choosing stations or liking or disliking songs. Although the phone is conveniently placed for me so it's not hard to reach towards the phone.

Makes me wonder if the problem is due to an update on the mobile phone version of Pandora.

Since the car has to use the native phone app to work. Maybe Pandora is to blame for this bug/incompatibility/crashing issue.

Using your phone via the Bluetooth input wouldn't cause the problem since your phone is just sending basic music data to your receiver (not app data like album art and such when in Pandora mode). Maybe the new iOS/Android version of Pandora has compatibility issues with the (now almost year old) 16 ILX interface.

I noticed the same thing today (3/17). Seems to happen only with Pandora. If I leave phone plugged in and turn off the car, when I restart the car Pandora will try to pickup where it left off but will then go silent and reboot. My car is a 2016 RDX with ELS sound system. I've only had the car a month but have not driven it in a week. Pandora was working well until today. Looks like the last update to the Pandora app on my iPhone was 3/9/16. Maybe something in that update has a bug.

For what it's worth this is now happening on my 2015 AWD TLX as well. Annoying

I have the same issue with my MDX 2016. Pretty sure it is due to the latest version of Pandora. The Acura dealer said they are aware of the reboot problem and are working on a software update. No idea when it'll be ready.
In the meantime, I found an iPhone backup on my PC and was able to restore to an older Pandora version. Since then I haven't had any problems with re-boots.

Update: Pandora released new version 7.0.1 on 3/23 for iPhone. It seems to solve the problem, I haven't had any reboots since I've upgraded to this version.
