Owned this thing for a year and never knew it had an alarm system built in. I had locked the vehicle with my wife inside (night time) while I checked something in a store. She didn't have her key with her and when she opened the door while I was still in the store the horn and blinking lights went off.

Because she didn't have a key she couldn't turn off the alarm. It eventually reset itself and was off by the time I came back. Maybe not the best alarm system in the world but at least it makes noise if someone opens a locked door.

 

Yeah, if you lock the door and look inside your car, you'll see a blinking red light. That's the alarm.

 

All Acuras have an alarm system built in. It doesn't sense glass breakage though.

 

My F150 also has a blinking red light but doesn't do anything. Figured Acura was the same.
